Email info@mizanfintech.app. Tell us whether you use the website, the iPhone and iPad app or the Android app, and what you were doing when the problem happened.

Please do not email us your password, bank logins or account numbers. Nisabify never needs them to help you.

Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter your email address. If an account exists for it, Nisabify emails you a link to a page where you choose a new password of at least 8 characters. Each link works once. Then sign in with your new password.

Did not get the email confirming your address? Try to sign in, then use the resend option Nisabify shows (Resend link on the website, Resend the confirmation link on iPhone and iPad, Resend confirmation email on Android), and check your spam folder.

Questions about a donation, such as a receipt or a refund, go to the charity. Nisabify never handles your money: Give (on the website, Give on their site) opens the charity’s own donation page or website, and the charity takes the payment and issues your receipt. Nisabify keeps a record of the gift only if you add one with Record a gift (on the website, I gave to this).

Delete your account

This is how to delete your account in Nisabify: Track and purify, the app on Google Play and the App Store, and on this website. It is one account on all three. Once you have finished setting up, delete it from inside the app while you are signed in:

If the date of birth you enter shows you are under 18, Nisabify stops with “Nisabify is for adults 18 and over.” and offers Sign out and Delete my account. On iPhone and iPad, the date-of-birth question offers Delete my account too.

Deleting your account removes your sign-in and the email address it uses, the record that you confirmed you are 18 or over, your wealth, settings, zakat years, giving record, calculation history, consent records and any connected accounts from Nisabify’s servers. It cannot be undone. Nisabify keeps a record that the deletion was requested and completed: your account’s random ID, the times and, when you delete from inside the app, a note saying so. If a connection could not be ended at Plaid, the note also holds Plaid’s reference for that connection, so that it can be closed. It contains no name, email address or financial data. For what else is kept, including backups, see the Privacy Policy.

On the website, deleting your account also signs you out and clears your record from that browser, keeping only your light or dark theme. If Settings warns that your saved data could not be read, deleting does not clear that copy: first use Settings → Your data → Clear everything, which signs you out, then sign in again and delete your account.

Removing the app from your device does not delete your account.

If you signed in but did not finish setting up, Settings is not shown yet. On iPhone and iPad, while Nisabify is still asking for your date of birth, that question offers Delete my account. Otherwise, email info@mizanfintech.app with the subject “Delete my account” and we will delete it for you.

If you cannot sign in, or the deletion does not finish, email info@mizanfintech.app with the subject “Delete my account” and say whether you signed in with your email address and password, with Google, or with Apple (iPhone and iPad only). We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we delete it.

How Nisabify works out zakat

Nisabify works out an estimate from what you enter and the choices you make.

Nisabify’s ruling set is labelled Sourced, not scholar-reviewed. Each position is recorded with its stated basis and the recognised alternative, but no named scholar has reviewed it. Figures are estimates: consult a qualified scholar for your situation. The website’s Methodology page lists the positions for your chosen school, and the shared ones, with their basis.
